Perseverance: Part 1
I just read an article about Tiger Woods. A few weeks ago he was at the top of his game. He was the most sought after athlete in the world. Now because he did not persevere in his pursuit of his wife and purity, he is a broken man and has lost the respect of the world.
Proverbs 3:3-4 says, "Persevere in love and faithfulness. Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and good reputation in the sight of God and man."
Praying for Tiger to go back to the faithfulness he started with. Praying someone who knows Jesus can influence him during this time of brokeness. Praying he and his wife will reconcile.
Perseverance in righteousness matters. May the Lord strength us all today to keep our convictions...especially when we're away from home.
